Among many varieties of memory devices, CF (CompactFlash) cards are very popular for embedded devices in such fields as medical, military, gaming, automotive and POS applications to date due to their cost effectiveness, reliability and stability. The new series of sixth-generation CF memory cards launched by Apacer in 2013 significantly boosts the transmission efficiency up to 115/80MB/second, realizing the speed of SATA interface when compared with its predecessors. The new series also considerably expands its capacity up to 128GB, making it the best choice for industrial computerand automatic storage.

This new series of CF memory cards takes built-in value-added functions and other features of SLC & MLC as its main axis, and adopts the standard 50-pin connector. The data transfer mode is up to PIO-6, Multi-Word DMA-4 and Ultra DMA-6, all of which are compliant with the CFA 6.0 specifications. Thanks to its PCMCIA-ATA function and compatibility that support 5V or 3.3V power supply, the sixth-generation CF memory cards provide superb convenience in terms of matching with systems and expansion of capacity.

In respect of ensuring data security, Apacer's Industrial CF6-Premium product provides Write Protect function. Jeff Lin, the Embedded Application Product Division Director of Apacer, indicated: "The Premium series (built-in value-added functions) of the sixth-generation CF memory cards are designed with a Lock Switch in a lower position so that customers can lock the CF memory cards prior to delivery of the system. Users can only read rather than write the data, thus helping prevent accidental deletion of data caused by careless operation and protect confidential data against vicious tampering."

Apart from a superbly reliable and highly competitive SLC chip, a high-capacity and low-cost MLC chip is also available for Apacer’s sixth-generation CF memory cards. Both the two series of products can run stably under industrial-grade wide-temp (-40°C-85°C) environments, enabling the system to access data reliably even at scorching or extremely low temperatures, which considerably guarantees the service life of products. In addition, in order to enhance the accuracy of data, Apacer’s sixth-generation CF memory cards also support the 72-bit ECC function, wear-levelingfunction and S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology), thereby substantially enhancing product reliability.

With continuous innovation, Apacer boasts of excellent capability for customization, rigorous manufacturing quality and timely technical support. Firmware and major components of Apacer can be fixed upon customer’s recognition and verification, which reduces the risk of out-of-stock and compatibility issues by offering stable supply and high reliability to customers. Therefore, Apacer has been recognized by Tier-1 tech giants in the U.S. and Japan, and secured its position as one of the top 10 PC SSD suppliers around the globe.
