Along with Lite-On’s internal 24X DVD writers, the eHAU424 offers the fastest DVD recording available. The eHAU424 also features both LightScribe and SmartErase technologies designed for true power users who are concerned with more than just writing speeds.

“PLDS is excited to bring the extremely fast 24X writing speeds to an external unit,” said Christine Hsing, Marketing Manager at PLDS. “With features like LightScribe and SmartErase included, the drive is both high-quality and convenient to meet any user’s needs.”

The included LightScribe labeling technology allows users to label their discs without any marker or paper labels. Just burn data on the data-side of a LightScribe compatible disc, flip the disc over, reinsert it into the drive and burn a beautiful label based on personal artwork, text or photographs.

SmartErase, Lite-On’s patented technology provides users with a permanent solution for erasing discs with confidential data. With SmartErase, users can be sure that private and sensitive data is securely erased and cannot be recaptured.

The eHAU424 writes DVD+/-R at 24X, DVD+/-R DL at 12X, DVD+RW at 8X and DVD-RW at 6X. DVD-RAM can be written at 12X. The eHAU424 writes CD-R at 48X and CD-RW 32X and reads DVD-ROM at 16X and CD-ROM at 48X.

The eHAU424 is available now with an MSRP of $69.99. For more product information, please visit www.liteonit.com.
