Seems to be a good drive even if I got it since a few days only, I however didn't test it much yet.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and I initially got huge problems while reading DVD+R discs as the list
of files would appear in Explorer but right-clicking on one of the files would make Explorer
go to Not Responding, and thus failing at accessing the disc. The access was however working fine
using a commercial DVD (movie). To solve the issue, I had to update the firmware using the one
provided here: http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html

It's really simple to install, just run the executable. It solved my problem in an instant.

Also, my hard disk is a SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ and I could achieve data transfer from the
DVD drive to the hard disk at a rate up to 15mb/s (Reported by Windows 7). I am not sure if this
is significant but I wanted to share.
