Anna Nicole Smith Dead At Age 39

I wonder if all those diet drugs did her in.

Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday at a South Florida hospital after being discovered unconscious in her hotel room.

The reality TV star, Playboy Playmate and former Guess model was 39.

She checked into the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Monday with her lawyer and boyfriend, Howard K. Stern.

Smith's private nurse called hotel workers at 1:38 p.m. and security officials went to the room, Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said.

Before rescue workers arrived, Smith's bodyguard performed CPR on her, he said.

She was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood at 2:10 p.m. where she died, Tiger said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, according to the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office.

Smith's attorney, Ron Rale, told reporters she had been suffering from flulike symptoms for the last couple of days.

I think she was doing methadone and other drugs just like her son. The last interview I saw with her she was out of it again, totally out there. A coworker used to like that stuff and he would go like crazy for a few hours then just zone out and fall asleep or get sick. He also got pretty beligerant sometimes too.
Too bad I guess, another one wasted by drugs and fame.

I agree that it'll be interesting to see the toxicology report following the autopsy.

Apparently her personal nurse called 911. Who in heck (at age 39, especially) has a freaking personal nurse?

There are few in this world that I'd wish death upon, certainly not Smith. But I've always seen her as a vacuous gold-digger at best. Maybe it would have been better for her life/health if she'd never been famous.

P.S. Maybe it's just me, but even at her peak, I never found her attractive.

Time for her mother and other relatives to start a legal war with Howard K. Stern over the estate & custody of the baby.

When its all settled, I bet she has less than $2 million USD in total in her estate.

It and the Sir Paul McCartney divorce should be the lawsuits of 2007 to remember.

When Smith was alive, everyone in her life seemed to be after the money - or potential money from her ex-husband's estate.

Now that she is gone, her baby inherits that curse.

The only people who benefit in this are the lawyers. They always win.
