Any word on ReWritable Dual Layer DVD?

Sorry if this has been posted or covered, but I couldn't find any info on the subject.

So has anyone heard any info about RW versions of DVD DL coming to market? (+R or -R format)

If I'm right +RW dual layer finalized specs will be there at the end of this year. So that will mean probally next year.
Biggest problem with this format that it's not backwards compatible according to the info so far.
In other words to read the new media you probally also need new hardware.

If I had to guess, I'd say we won't see DVD+RW DL until the middle of 2006.

Here's a more recent report. According to it, the DVD+RW Alliance expects to finalize the format by the year's end:
