best DVD writer now?

Hi,

What's the best DVD writer now? I can't get NEC locally because no one is distributing NEC in Philippines...

most people will probably say that the Plextor PX-716A is one of the best if not the best DVD writer.

however, IMO, I think that the NEC drives are just as good but of course much cheaper in price.

the only reason why I own the PX-716A is because I was able to get it for something like $55 after mail in rebates. otherwise I'd still be using my old 3520A from NEC which never gave me a lick of problems.

See if the Benq 1640 is available in your area, Its pretty impressive. :D
