Can someone please tell me of a good media to use with this drive whether +or -. I havent had any trouble until recently but with all the new dyes out there I'm getting very confused and would rather hear from someone who has actually used them and had success Thanks

Did you use the newest Firmware?

Try media from Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Ritek and CMC, these types run good-acceptable on the most drives; maybe you better use max. 4x-speed

Been using Datawrite with a CMC dye they keep throwing up a coaster every now and then 2 already out of a new pack, I wonder if it could be a bad batch

Correction there is no such thing as CMC Dye.
You mean CMC MID.
Yeah I couldn't resist correcting this one since this mistake is many times made.

The BTC have problems with many media

Try other media. If you make with media like from MCC and Taiyo coasters, too, maybe your writer is defect.

Which FW-version do you use?

Firmware 0159 discs Datasafe Adv info CMC MAG AE1 they do work occasionally but I seem to have been getting a lot more failures recently was wondering about changing to + discs on Ritek R03 anyone used these successfully
