Burning a Macintosh compatible dvd with nero burning rom

Postby wernehawen on Tue Apr 19, 2005 5:02 pm

Hi there, I have been trying to burn a dvd+rw readable by MAc using nero burning rom software (PC) but to no success. I would like to know whether i am able to burn a disk compatible with Macintosh using this software? if yes, how can i go about doing it?

My roxio toast titanium burning software for the Mac has options where i can choose to burn disks compatible for the operating system which i would use the disks for however i haven't seen anthing similar in nero's software.

Anyone able to help here?

Are you sure that your Mac drive even understands dvd+r and dvd+rw discs?

The way I remember it, some older macs had their + support completely disabled in the firmware (by Apple).

Just making sure it isn't this...

Surprisingly, i have nvr heard of macs being incompatible with + medias. I am not sure what do you mean by "old". Howeverr my mac is a powerbook G4, so it should be considered "not too new but not too old either".

Well, what i am trying to ask is that for example, using my mac to burn cds with roxio's toast titanium 5.0, i am able to choose to burn in a mode that is compatible with both mac and windows, meaning the discs can b read on both platforms.

Now is there a way using Ahead's nero software to burn cds/dvds that can be read on both windows and mac?
