Can standalone burners burn copy-protected audio CDs?

I'm talking about the professional models that allow you to override SCMS protection. It seems like audio CD copy-protection is aimed at keeping the disc from being able to be read in a CD-ROM drive, and I'm not sure if that would foul up standalone burners or not.

If they use DAE to copy the CD I would imagine they would be just as succeptible as the regular CD-ROM drives.
