CDRW Media GQ - "Great Quality" - Not so great!

Postby myid2003 on Sun Jan 12, 2003 7:21 pm

Hi,

I just bought some GQ:

"Great Quality" 4-10x CDRW Media 10x 700Mb/80min

with my Mitsumi CR-4804TE Internal CD-RW Drive.

When I try to use EZ-CDCreator or Nero to burn to them all
I get is an:

"Illiegal Media"

error back and these disks cannot be written to or erased.

Does anyone have any advise on how to use these discs with
my drive... ?

Regards,

Stephen

GQ or Great Quality CD's have a history of being really poor quality and producing numerous errors. I would personally dump the GQ CD's in the trash or use them as drink coasters, because they are very useless. I would recommend going out and buying some quality media made by Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, and etc. Just check out the Hot Deals Section as Best Buy and CompUSA have some good deals on media.
