LG CGE-8520B 1.4 firmware updates

1.0 firmware showing read speed 40x
1.4 showing 40x still. why is this drive showing 40x read and not 52x in Nero InfoTool???

It shows 40x but it reads at 52x. BTW I've had a problem while flashing with new f/w. Suddenly all of my cd drives were disabled and they won't enable now, anyone know what's wrong?

also its a 52x24x52. so why is it taking it 10mins to burn a cdr? im using the new atapi drivers and the new nero. cdrwin doesn't even detect my burner.
