Burn baby burn!

combo drives

Postby dellboy on Thu Apr 10, 2003 2:41 pm

hi,

can anybody help please, in my pc i have a dvd rom &
a sony dru 5oo dvd burner.
because the sony only burns at 24x cd-r,
i was thinking of ditching the dvd rom
and adding a combo with a burn speed of 48x +
so i would have a dvd reader + a faster cd-r burner
i can still use disc to disc when need be.
i would have the combo set as master as i would be doing
all the cd-r burning with it, and i would set the dvd burner as
slave i would only use the drive for dvd,s.
will i have a problem with two burners in the pc.

dell.

Having two burners won't be a problem. Just don't install two packet-writing programs (like DirectCD and InCD) at the same time and you should be fine. BTW, I have two CD burners in one of my computers, too.
