When I try using that coupon code, it says that it is valid only for "club members". Huh?

Crucial now requires you to enter through myHPclub.com before they allow you to use the coupon. If you follow these instructions, you can get a 512MB PC2100 DDR computer memory for $54 with free shipping.

1.) First click the below link to visit myHPclub.com, which is a club website by HP.

2.) Click the Crucial Memory ad in the middle of the page.
3.) A popup will appear. Actually there may be two popups, one a blank page and the other asking "Would you like to continue?" Click Continue.
4.) That takes you to Crucial.com's website, where you will see the special offer of $20 off 512MB memory with code NLDHPCPQ102. You will enter this code later during the checkout process.
5.) Click on the HOME link at the top menu, then in the middle-left locate "Memory Upgrades" and click on "More RAM ->".
6.) On the right, pulldown "Choose your memory" and select DDR PC2100.
7.) Then pulldown 184-pin DIMM.
8.) The $74 512MB, when added with the coupon code will let you purchase it for $54.

This deal does work. I received a PC2100 512MB stick this morning when the FedEx man came. But the deal only works when linked from a proper site.

Go to http://www.myhpclub.com/index.cgi and click on the Crucial banner in the center of the screen. This will take you to Crucial and enable the coupon code to work. You will know when you have linked correctly because the Crucial page will have a "Special Offer for Club Members!" that lists the coupon code.

You can select memory for a particular HP PC or you can then click the "memory Upgrades" link at the top of the page to select by memory type.

It only works on 512MB PC2100 memory. Some have also reported that it works on 512MB SODIMM DDR for notebooks.
