Crucial BX200 PCMark Consistency Test With Firmware MU02

Postby Ian on Tue Aug 30, 2016 8:30 pm

A few weeks ago a reader reached out to me and asked if I had taken a look at the MU02 firmware for the Crucial BX200 and asked me if the results were any better in PCMark's Consistency test. If you remember back, the drive did pretty poorly when I originally reviewed it. It was not only slow during the degrade and steady state phases, the latency was quite high.

I finally had a little bit of down time this week so I pulled out the BX200, updated the firmware and reran the test. If you look at the graphs below, you can see that the results are better but still not what I would consider to be good.
