CD-R's Degrading Over a Span of 2 Years?

Frankly, I think this article is bogus. They don't list which brands last longer than others, plus they discuss brands in the first place, when they should discuss manufacturers. Also, some dyes are unstable? I thought only 2 or 3 dyes existed. Both cyanine and phthalocyanine have proven to last well over 2 years. Sure, you get bad batches of discs, tell me something I don't know. I'm not quite sure why PC Active wrote this article...maybe to make people stop buying CD-R's and focus on DVD-/+R's or maybe to make people stop burning discs all together?
