Disabling CD-RW drive

Postby Garathor on Fri Mar 19, 2004 3:25 pm

I have a CD-RW drive in my computer. There are several users of the computer, but i don't want anybody else than me to be able to use the CD-RW drive.

Is there a way i can achieve this?

Is it possible to make windows disable the drive for some windows user profiles (i use Windows 98 SE)?

You could create different hardware profiles some with and some without the CD-RW drive enabled, but those hardware profiles probably can't be made to correspond with user profiles.
