DVD X Copy maker loses lawsuit from Hollywood, will appeal

This is sad news. Personally I think it's wrong to prevent making personal backups.

If DVD X Copy goes out of business, the entertainment industry will only have themselves to blame when people use DVD Decrypter to copy DVD's without any copy restrictions.

already discussed in this topic: DVD X Copy? in the DVD-Recordable forum.

they will be going after other programs next.
also after makers of freeware.

they've already done this before (with the guy who wrote the app for playing DVDs in Linux!)
