Editing DVD

Postby soccerman on Sun Jun 20, 2004 8:17 pm

What is the best software to edit a ripped DVD? I want to be able to disable certain menu items and get rid of extras so I can fit a 7GB DVD onto a 4.7GB disk with minimal compression.

I tried using DVDReMake by DimadSoft and although it does allow you to edit menus and get rid of extras, it replaces a movie block you want to delete with an 0.1 MB empty one. So, you DVD player still plays it but you don't see anything on the screen. Is there software out there that just gets rid of the movie block you want to delete?

Give DVDShrink or DVDStripper a try:

DVDShrink doesn't let you edit the menus. What about DVDStripper?

DVDStripper is more intuitive and can strip titlesets, titles, chapters, announcements, logo's, trailers, extras etc. Menu's with Movie Only or also keep a few selective extras too. Split DVD keeping original quality but also deciding what you want on each DVD (e.g. Episodic DVD's). Remove one of the two movies on the DVD (e.g. Widescreen & Fullscreen DVD's).
You might also try MenuEdit:
