lg gce 8160b overclock

Postby durul on Tue Sep 16, 2003 9:43 am

Hi,

I've got an lg gce 8160b cd-writer. I made a search but could not find anything clear within the forum. Does anybody have any succesful experience of overclocking 8160b to 24x or more?

Thanks

It's not possible. CD-RW drives are so cheap these days, you're better off just buying a new one.

It's not possible to overclock the 8160 to 8240 because both use different chipset.8160 uses MediaTek while 8240 uses Oak Technology chipset.
So,as Ian sya buy a new burner if you want speed.

See ya later,
