I had an HP Lightscribe drive, it notifed me that there was a firmware update. I let it download and install it. My drive stopped working, not sure when, but it was shortly after. So I took it back and got a 2nd drive. I thought maybe the firmware flash didn't go smoothly. The 2nd drive asked if I wanted to update the firmware, I thought about it, and decided I'd try again.
now the 2nd drive doesn't work. the drive is detected when I boot, Win XP see's the drive as a device, but I can't get the drive to eject. I'm frustrated, and the drive is just out of the stores return policy date, so I want to find out if anyone else has experinced this before I RMA it.
