Looking for best price for Lite On 52X CD-RW

Postby cosmichippo on Sat Dec 11, 2004 7:17 pm

Title says it all. I am looking for a good price for a new burner as my LO 48X just took a poop.

Hopefully a local retailer BB , CC, Staples, Office Max, Wallys etc.

Current or next week deals or with rebate are fine. I know that they areusually in the paper but not always so if you have any inside info please share.

Yes, I know that I can get a DVDRW drive that will burn CD almost as fast but will they be as good? I still burn alot of CDs and want the best burns possible. I am still limping along with my Pioneer 103 for DVD-r for right now. I plan to upgrade it soon too am just waiting for the dust to settle a bit on which DVD-+RW/DL will perform best and is most reliable.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or pointers on the Lite On search.

I just bought a Lite-On SOHC-5232K at www.newegg.com for $43.50...it's a combo drive(52x32x52/16x DVD-ROM).It writes very fast,has low C1/C2 errors and is a great ripper.
For 16x or DL DVD's I would buy a BenQ DW1620.
