LTR-48125W not in DMA Mode

LTR-48125W not in DMA Mode

Postby aviationwiz on Fri Apr 18, 2003 3:05 pm

How can I get it into DMA mode? I have tried everything I know of. I'm about to throw it out. It's a POS, I have never had problems with any other burner. *Time to go get a Plextor 52x32x52*

Don't toss the 48125W; send it to me!

Seriously, though, what OS are you're using? If you're using 2K or XP, un-install the IDE Controller the drive is hooked up to and reboot. This is known to help enable DMA. Also, do you have any IDE drivers installed, or are you using the MS ones?

Thanks dodecahedron,

that second link helped me. I had to uninstall it and all. I can't wait till that new Plextor drive comes out though. They said they were going to start shipping them on the 28th.
