I have no idea how a physician decides what kind of tube and how long to leave it in. Sounds like he has a good projection and outlook for you if he's calling for 2-3 months. Sure, it's not 2 weeks like you want, but it's a helluva lot better than 6+ months. I'd say just be religious about adhering to your precautions. my hearing stopped improving, so i think i'll have to wait until the tube fall out to experience some improvement again. i read somewhere that perforation do cause some degrades in hearing.
