That I don't know about.

I've delt with the Canadian Tiger with no problems (5 transactions to date).

This rumor was circulating years ago. I've ordered from TigerDirect before and I have not been signed up for any phone services. Overall, their service is good. The only complaint I have is that they will send you catalogs every month after you place an order with them. So, expect junk mail...unless, of course, you like catalogs. :)
