Nero 6.6.0.6 and deleted files reappearing in the burned com

Postby Gilbert on Thu Aug 18, 2005 4:09 pm

I just purchased a Benq 1640 and installed the Ultra edition (6.6.0.6) to replace my old v5. I then decided to make a copy of a bunch of folders from one of my NTFS partitions (MS Win XP sp2). After the burn, I had the check files option on and it checked ok. I decided to use CD Check to verify afterward to make absolutely sure everything was readable and right between hd and DVD. That is when I discovered a bunch of errors. I thought it might have been some renaming but some files were missing. I then used my Total Commander to compare and discovered some recently deleted files from the hd appeared on the DVD although I had cleared the recycle bin and defragmented the partition (Raxco Perfect Disk v7 b31) before burning and some newer files were missing... Seemed like it had used an old copy of the file table. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have since updated to the most recent version of Nero and will do some more testing.

was that a multisession disc?
CD or DVD ?
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie
