if Nero is bloated, what's next?

I've been thinking about upgrading from 6 to 7, and have also ready where there's not much added functionally...more eye candy and bloat. If that's true, what's the "new" nero? Years ago I switched to Nero because it was about 10 megs in size and did what I needed it to do well...burn CD's and DVD's. I never use it for anything else...

So that said, what's another good clean simple effective fresh-smelling less fat dvd/cd burning program that people like?

well, one of the new features of Nero 7 is the ability to install only the module you want. so you can install Nero Burning ROM only without anything else. i guess that should suit you fine.
