Well, Nero doesn't crash ALL the time-but enough to be annoying.
As for the burn speed, I usually use 4x for data discs, and 8x for video (w/TDK media, 4x for Verbatiums). So far, it's only crashed when burning CD's or DVD-R's-not with DVD+R's. Cd's I burn at 40x on my Optorite, and 52x on my Lite-On. All my CD's are TY's, so they can handle it
K3b is a free, Nero-like CD/DVD burning program-it's also Linux only.
I finally gave up totally on Windows today. It just keeps corrupting my HDD's and losing data. Plus the crashs. I'm sick of it. No more dual booting. Just Mandrake 9.2 from here on out.
Soon to be proud user of Mandrake 10 (again!). SuSE 9 sucks!
