Nero 7 wave editor and declicking

I have been transferring some old LP's to CD using sound trax and wave editor. I have been trying to use the declicker in wave editor but it doesn't seem to eliminate the clicks. I have moved the setting around but the clicks still remain. I have tried to block the areas, still no luck. It seems easy and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I can see the click in the waveform and hear it when it plays. It never goes away. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You do first use the Mouse to click-and-drag to highlight the section, or even the whole song, you want to use the filter on?
