Postby Ian on Thu Jun 15, 2006 2:24 pm

It took me like 10 tries before I even launched the stupid hamster.

I suck. I'm still trying to break 200 points. #-o

Just hit 259 points. You are right though, trying to get the timing down is a PITA at first, I had a cumulative score of like 20 for my first 7 or 8 tries, lots of 0's.

lots of fun

Very challenging, but very neat as well. Good find, Ian. :)

I topped out at 236 total feet.

Just pulled off a 143 ft flight, total of 375 ft for the round (the first is obviously better than the other 4 in this round)

Alright.

I'll bite on this one too.

I'll report back with my lackluster performance. :D

Finally made it over 1K.

Getting a good string of flights together has been tough. Are you guys using the uplift fans or trying to avoid them?

I have a long way to go before I catch bill.
I made a total of 400 feet on my last round.

I should try this sober some night. But it may not be as much fun.

bill: re the fans- I'm trying to get anything that will increase my distance.
rockets, hamster balls,fans or skateboards.

Yeah he is, he got my whole family addicted! My brother is thinking about starting up a chapter of Hamsters Anonymous.

It looks like your starting to get it. Though you might want to try a different liqueur if you hope to challenge the champ

I asked about the fans because it appears often times they turn forward momentum into vertical momentum, but sometimes they do save your butt. The hard part for me was learning to glide ( brief mouse clicks ) just frequently enough to keep the little guys nose forward. That way you have enough glide power in reserve that you can actually climb a little to get the rockets just above the hamster's flight path. That, and a lot of luck should get you over a thousand.

Darn you Ian!! :x

After wasting a suitable amount of time, I am the hamster champion:

It's a fun game, despite being targeted to kids.

Has anyone ever played Nanaca†Crash? It is somewhat similar in concept. Not quite as kid oriented. Apparently the characters were based on an "adult" PC game, although the Flash game has no adult content that I am aware of.
