Do you Make a review of the 1616, Ian?
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

Maybe Aopen send one? The 1608 was also reviewed here

TCAS says our reflashed drives to a 1616 won't do this update. The message is " you don't have a 1608 drive".
So maybe this is a reflasher? 1608 to 1616!

Can the Aopen 1608 or 1616 used for quality-scns with Nero Cdspeed?

Scour! I would think as long as you used the same unit and conditions for all the scans they would be on the same playing field comparatively.

There is new information from some one with first hand experienced that Rosewill DVD Burner drive model RD 162 is in fact AOpen 1608 and Rose will model RD 162X is AOpen 1616. So this new revelation adds new dimension to AOpen drive from now on.

Scour! Someone posted at CDFREAKS that the 1616 can not do error scans in Nero!
