News of Blu-ray Disc Drives

i would think it could be called Blu-Ray & HD DVD
or HD Media / Burners

either way i can't wait till i can afford one of these format burners and be able to hand out the media like DVD-Rs

I was reading the release notes for WinDVD BD and WinDVD HD last night. One thing that really stuck out to me were the hardware requirements.

I'm sure you've seen a number of editorials and articles about Blu-ray video quality and how HD DVD is superior. According to AVGuide.com, its because the Genesis scaler chip in the Samsung BD-P1000 shipped with noise-reduction circuit enabled. Doh!

The first article concerns BluRay burners only (because there aren't any HD-DVD burners available yet :wink:), but the title is general.
