Should I buy a 100 spool of something or buy in smaller quantity to see if its compatable with the drive?

I must admit I don't see the "48x Taiyo Yuden - in 100-packs for $8 (on sale at BestBuy)"........are they Fuji, Imation, or something else????

I cant upgrade InCD from version 2.33.1 to 3.51.91 using the download from the nero website. When I try I get the message:

An error has occurred while creating the directory process
(Directory name: )
Please check the path and try again

after I accpet the licence agreement.

The current version of InCD was installed from the CD that accompanied my Mitsumi CR 4809 TE CD-Rewriter. I have been able to upgrade Nero Burning ROM ...

What am I doing wrong?

Like everyone else, I've been reading about the advantages of SATA over
IDE. So far, it's a big yawn.
Seriously. What does SATA do that FireWire2 can't? Do we have to overlook the fact FireWire2 runs circles around SATA?

As well, I haven't heard anyone complain about external drives running firewire/usb.

I do have a HP 8210e(external burner) from 4 years ago, is being recognized by windows XP and Nero but fails to function either in writing or reading process. I don't hear any spining from the drive. I have a new system (Asus A7N8X Athlon XP 2400+) with a Toshiba SD-R1202 combo drive. I'm running XP. I installed Adaptec's latest
ASPI driver from aspi_471a2.zip, using the install.bat.

I want to rip audio CDs to MP3, however, I can't rip. I tried AudioCatalyst
and under General settings, it shows ASPI and MSCDEX dimmed and
Analog selected. I can't select ASPI and cannot rip.
