I'm a recording artist trying to create a CD album of my current works and have only this last hurdle to overcome:

Should I create an Audio CD, so it works in everybody's CD players?
Trouble with this is that i've tried to add the CD Text to it and even though i've tried it through itunes and nero 7 SE, i can't get it to add the track info. Its just the usual ...

Sony Optiarc has released new 24x DVD writers, the AD-7280S and the LabelFlash equipped AD-7283S.

Any idea what chipset these two have? They don't appear to be Lite-On rebadges, but do they use the MC-10045 like the AD-724xS and AD-726xS series?

Crucial has released a new firmware for its m4 SSD family. Normally I wouldn't mention something like this, but it supposedly increases the drives' sequential read speeds by 20%.

Just burned two data DVDs on Verbatim DVD-Rs (DataLifePlus, the good stuff from Rima, 1792). Used the Pioneer DVR-216D and Nero with the first one at about 3.5GB turning out fine and the next one gave a "unrecoverable read error" on the last 3 DVD-Rs in the stack.
