I hope this is the right place to ask this: I've been always a fan of TDK disks. I've been buying them since I used to burn CD's, and a few years up to now DVD's.
I never had a single issue with TDK +R DVD's, not a single coaster, at least with the 4X and 8X discs (I don't know their number, but I'm talking about those DVD's with a backface in a ...

haven't done too much with my DL burner for quite some time. However got interested again. Haven't followed the stories but why is DL media still not available as broadly as single layer?

There's been a lot of action at CDFreaks the last while with 2 LiteOn employees (Wind and Tom) contributing test firmware versions with new capabilities (Hypertuning, Online Hypertuning, etc) and a new toy, DVDScan, that can do various kinds of disc diagnostics. I think these things really add to the value of newer LiteOn drives and would like to share some of my experience with them, primarily with DVDScan.

Hey Guys, I want some opinions on how things should go for my next set of longevity tests. Here's what I've got so far:

Also, despite the announcement of Verbatim's Mini DVD+RDL media coming in 5pks, that's strictly a Europe/Austraila packaging, in North America it's 3pks, and they're already available :wink:

Never knew LG made media too...any idea on the actual maker? Quality?

Since people seem to have a REALLY hard time finding Verbatim DatalifePlus, I thought I'd post all of the Verbatim Part Numbers for them. Please keep in mind that this is internal Verbatim info, and not neccessarily how the packaging will describe the product.
