8x DVD+RW Drive (SKU #'s 20731380, 20730176, 20678401) - $89.99 after $30IR and $50MIR

The ad I see says $69.99 after both rebates.
It looks like the drives are:
20731380 - MicroAdvantage 8x ±R/RW
20730176 - Khypermedia 8x +RW
20678401 - Pacific Digital 4x ±R/RW

The ad says 8x DVD burner but the Pac Digital shows up on their web site as only a 4x drive. Anyone care to say which would be the better drive amongst these choices?

Check some of the other Office Max threads. There's a lot of discussion about "what's best".

Thanks for the heads up on the typo.

The CD-R Free after MIR is a 100 disc spindle of Ritek discs (Ridata) retail, not bulk packed.

The 100 pack Ridatas dvd plus r disks are Ritek g02 and will do 4x with the NEC 2500 and 811 but you can burn them faster with the hacked firmwares being released.
They are 79 bucks out the door and 69 if you get their MIR ;)

What is the sku number for the 8x Pacific Digital drive that they use to offer? The one on the web site shows a 4x Pacific Digital drive. I thought they had the 8x Pacific Digital drive on sale this week. Am I wrong or are they selling the Pacific Digital 8x drive in the store, but not online?

I'm confused.

No, you are right. It's been confirmed on other deal sites that its actually the 8x drive if you buy it in the store.

I was told at my store that they wouldn't sell any of the Pacific Digital drives till they'd sold off the Kyhpermedia drives first, I smiled and said, OK! She also said they though this week they might be out of the crappy media drives and sell some PD drives again. I think they got tired of checking serials and then getting stuck with burners nobody wanted.
