periods not important in gmail addresses ???

What was that?

periods not important in gmail addresses ???

i discovered this quite by accident:
if you have an email address like xxx.yyy@gmail.com, you will receive also emails sent to xxxyyy@gmail.com.

is this some sort of convention i don't know of ? that periods in an email address (maybe just before the @) can be omitted and it still works OK ?

I've read about that period problem on other boards. By the way, I have lots of Gmail accounts if someone needs one. Just PM me. I use one for email, one for forums, one for crap and one for a gmail drive backup. The current space allocated is around 2482 Mb per account. 8)
