I've been pulling my hair out all weekend trying to figure this out, I'm hoping someone on here can help:
Whenever I attempt to burn a data DVD, it'll burn up to a certain point (usually between 4%-6%), then stop. The disc will still be spinning, but the status indicator on the front of the drive has gone from a blinking amber (normal) to a solid green (usually standby). The progress bar on the application will also stop at whatever percentage it's currently at. Even if I stop the recording (a feat in itself), the disc still spins.
I've run several self-tests, with several brands of discs, and all checked out fine. I'm using Maxell, Memorex and Fuji DVD+Rs. I should also that burning a data CDR on the same drive works fine with no problems.
I've used both Nero and Roxio, both giving me the same result. Also, I've only had or the other installed at the time of burning
It worked several weeks ago, but now it's acting up. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
