Bye all! See ya in (quite) awhile!

OK, finally get to part this hunk of P4 junk out in the morning!
The orginal plan was for a quick upgrade to an Athlon 64. Now: not a chance.

After installing Windoze three times yesterday just because my stupid roommate wanted a divx video on a dvd kinda made me realize just how much I hate Windows. And for now anyway, it's a dual-boot world. To many games, or DVD creation/copying apps, or burning apps (that support things like HD-BURN) just do not run under Linux and do not have Linux equalivents.

I've lost 100x more data due to Windows than to any virus...actually, I've never had a virus do any harm to my system, even the time I (purposely) had over 100 of 'em sitting on my hard drive.

So instead of getting something that's just going to make me want to shoot it (which I, ah-hem, HAVE done to PC's before), I think I'll just get something that I can shoot and that will actually help relieve PC-induced stress: a new 1911. Or maybe a Springfield XD. I'll see what the dealer's got.

I'll drop in from time-to-time, just to say "hi". The library does have PCs w/net connections!

But, this is pretty much it! At least until Linux matures a bit more. I'll be hanging around for another hour or two, until I go to bed. In the morning this thing is gone.

It's been fun!! Bye everyone!!

And they were only going to release the 64 bit edition, how long ago, 2 years!!! 64 bit edition has been out to various people, just not the public.

Yes.You are right aviationwiz.I have the documentation about Win XP 64-Bit on my Win XP Pro. CD.I guess they are still try to modify the existing 32 bit version to work on a 64 bit processor,as BurninMan921 has stated in his sig.
