IE Help Needed

My friend has the following problem. Any advice on how to get it fixed?

theres "something" on my computer that keeps resetting my homepage to this site, it just an IP number (http://2313.2321.2.3 * fake #). I tried taking out all the cookies and spyware off my computer but it still resets it to that BS site with all these links to more BS, even after i've restarted the computer.

any ideas to get rid of this nonsense?

Dear BuddhaTB,
Hi.I think I remember a friend of mine having same problem.Except the default homepage was always set to some search page.Finally he modified the registry.He searched for the URL name and then deleted all the keys containing the name.It helped and his IE behaves normally now.

We used HijackThis to locate the problem. My friend's computer was infected with a CoolWeb Trojan.

yuck! CoolWWWSearch is obnoxious.
the guys at www.net-integration.net are really helpful with things like this.
