My HDD goes TICK TICK ???

Hi,
I was burning a cd yesterday and then my harddrive starting to tick all the time like a clock, and I cancelled the burning and everything freezed, I couldnt do anything.
Im using another harddrive right now and the other is still ticking if I changing to the other one.

Have my harddrive been broke or something ???
I cant come in to the windows with the broken one ???

Can ya pls help me to tell me if you know what the problem is ???
I had Maxtor 120GB 8MB cache.

Im using:
AMD Athlon 1700+ (1,47ghz)
Soltek 75DRV4
512 Samsung DDR 266mhz
Plextor 708A
VN Souljah

And one more thing, I have only used that harddrive in 2 weeks and its new.

It sounds like there is something is wrong with it. Since its only 2 weeks old, I'd take it back and exchange it for another.

Sounds like the heads.... back up your data and RMA/exchange it.
