what media are you using? it looks like TY CD-R. wierd.

i don't know how Nero handles .bin/.cue burning and how to do it correctly.
can you burn it in another program?
(i can recommend you try burnatonce www.burnatonce.com )

I was able to finally get it to work. It seems that instead of using the disc-at-once method, I had to use the disc-at-once/96 method.

What's the difference?

Thanks.

You are getting a Queue Again Later error message, which indicates the recorder is busy with the last command given to it, so your new write command goes into a que. If the drive fails to return from the busy status, our software will time out and report an error message.

in your case, the most likely suspect is the setting for the IDE BUS that you have the recorder connected too. It reports that DMA is disabled, and this is more than likely the cause of your QUEUEING errors.

Also, make sure you have the latest drivers for your "IdeChnDr" IDE controller, as this can have an affect here as well.

Craig

My DMA is set at UDMA2 but Nero is reporting that it is disabled. Is this bad?
Also, I am using the Intel Application Accelerator....- is this needed?

Thanks.

Yes, this indicates that you more than likely have old drivers loading for your IDE controller. If Nero is reporting that DMA is disabled, then it's disabled.

But the strange thing is that you have two other drives that show DMA is enabled. It looks like they are all on the same IDE controller, so it's strange that 2 report as DMA enabled, and 2 report as disabled.

This needs to be resovled, as this is more than likely the cause of your troubles.

Do you have an Add-ON IDE controller you can test with?

Craig

YES! :)

That has been known to cause problems with write speeds in Nero in the past. Though normally it only caused you to be able to select only the Maximum write speeds for your recorder, and nothing slower. But to be safe, you should uninstall it just in case.

I uninstalled IAA and then uninstall the primary and secondary IDE controllers, re-booted and let WinXP re-install the drivers. DMA is now enabled on all!

One thing though, on my DVD and CDROM drive I am still only getting UDMA2... is this a problem?

Thanks!

It should not be a problem, but the only true way to be sure is to test it. :)
Do you still have the same issues you were having?
