Recode 2 and high processor usage?

Postby NoSmartz on Wed Mar 31, 2004 1:46 pm

is it normal for Recode to use all the processor has?I really can't do anything whilst Recode does it's thing(i.e...surf,run other apps,etc..)
Check the task manager and it uses 100%.It does it's job great but man it's a hog.

I am experiencing between %30-%45 CPU usage during "Encoding " process and much less during buring process with 512 MB of DDR-RAM and CPU of AMD XP2000.

just tried out a flic as we speak and it ran at 57% max.I have plenty of RAM to give so I guess it's just my system like ya'll said. The 100% musta been a fluke but I'm gonna try again.Does Recode have a priority setting where it doen't use as much?
