Hell, with Christians run amok, they're probably safer IN Larry's.
A man has been charged after allegedly punching a 73-year-old woman in the face, breaking her nose and stabbing her in the arm with a corkscrew before hitting a second woman with a bottle at a wedding reception in the Whitsunday Islands.

I find it funny that CDRecorder tells me I'm breaking the rules, when I wrote them in the first place.

Let's have a vote.

since i was busy with work, i missed on the fun of this topic.

no point in joining in the middle/end, but i just had to comment on this one.

the Swiss are still hoarding money that belonged to Jewes who perished in the Holocaust.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. But I'd changed mine before Recorder had even sent me a PM about it.

Didn't you write the rules before he/she even joined CD-R Labs ? It was a year ago January or February wasn't it ? I believe you had exams looming on the horizon at the time you wrote them up.

dodeca,

Like I said, screw the swiss. What is the estimate of what they are currently holding/making? I know the WJC got a settlement out of the swiss not that long ago but I think it was a small % of what was due.

Indeed, I was thinking of that, it appears that your avatar is not inappropriate, but of course what is "inappropriate" become a pesonal view.

When I became a moderator here, I was told that my responsibility was to help enforce the rules. I am trying to do that here, but it seems that no one cares about the rules like they used to.

To the other moderators and administrators: Are we really going to enforce the rules here, or are we just going to forget about them? Maybe the rules should be clarified so that there is no dispute over whether they are being broken or not.

I think that as long as the images are not too risque, there's no harm in letting them have a little fun. Life is too serious offline anyways.

Anyway, it's Ian's place, so if he thinks they're ok, then I'm ok with it.

I sense that they're having a little fun, and it will pass sooner or later, and we'll all get back to discussing optical storage topics.

It seems to me the dispute is whether you are enforcing rules or opinion.

While I haven't felt the need to mention it until now, I am a Christian. I'm not real keen on labelling others around here, and I hope you won't be inclined to do the same to me or others.

I felt that it was more appropriate to say "Christians" as a whole referring largely to the Christian coalitions/right wing religious conservatives who have numbers in the 100s of thousands or millions as opposed to naming each and every one of them who push Christian values and beliefs through legislation on us non-Christian Americans just so that you could see that your name was left out.

I've started ignoring CDRLabs forums while I'm at work. You can debate what's "offensive" and what isn't, but most of those avatars aren't anywhere near work safe. Last thing I need is a female coworker walking in to talk about design features and see BuddaTB's avatar on the screen.
