Where to download rebaged lite-on LTR-52246S

Postby Phalkon30 on Thu Jun 03, 2004 3:15 pm

I've updated my crx210 sony drive to the 220 firmware, but hate that stupid burst thing where i have to hold down the eject button. With 9 80mm fans in my case I can't hear the drive anyway :)

I can't find a working link for a rebaged LTR-52246S firmware. They're either all down or the downloads are corrupted. Anybody got a link? It seems that I've hit the scene a little too late for this "old" burner, and now nobody cares about it.

You're don't need to be looking for an OEM firmware, you can flash it with retail firmware.

I was under the impression the firmware had to be renamed for it to be accepted by my sony drive. I trust you though, you seem very well respected in the cd/rw area.

Thanks

Well, now I have a serious problem. I can't see my cd drives in windows. I think my ASPI layer has gotten messed up somehow.

Nero info tool tells me my system ASPI is not installed, but nero is. I've also tried reinstalling nero ASPI, no change.

I also tried unpluging my burner, but leaving my dvd-rom in. Rebooted, no change.

I can't even see my virtual drive from daemon tools.

Ignore that last post, after 2 hours of messing with ASPI drivers, update utils, registry keys, and a ton of rebooting, I finally looked at device manager. My drives had red X's through them, so I removed the drives, and rebooted. Windows detected and installed them on the next boot.

Probably 3 times as many fans as you need, unless you are running some kind of extreme server.

4 came built into the case, 2 in the power supply, one on the processor, and 2 in a card cooler for my OC'd graphics card. All but the processor are on fan controllers.

You tried to use MTK WinFlash, right? There's no reason to use this program for Liteon drives now that the Liteon firmware flasheris available.

Ahhhh, I used flashfix, that program works great dhc014. Nero info tool still says I have a crx220, but I know its liteon firmware, I have the red LED, Mt Rainier support, and windows/clonecd says I do. Its also at 52x without that stupid turbo mode.

This has been an experience, thanks guys.
