I need to get myself a hat like that. Now that I'm growing my hair out, none of my hats fit anymore.

Sweet Spazmogen! LOL!
Kerry is the most liberal US Senator in Washington, who has more of a sourpuss disposition than Lieberman.

He sucks the way he flips and then flops...which is why he will be defeated!

Where do they get these guys?

Well, since jase left his beloved FC Middlesbrough, and Aviationwiz has ditched his old politicians, it's time to think about a new avatar too. One possibility is to use a flag or coat of arms with personal connotations, as jase has done, and like Aviationwiz has gone back to. This could be
Image . . or . . Image.

At the height of the avatar wars, I prepared this one (mainly to see how CDRecorder would react ):

Image with possible escalation to ... Image ... or ... Image

but after cfitz' classic post, things cooled off a bit and there was no reason to use them. Other possibilities are related to my moniker, like this one Image (I have a few of these stached to use later.)

Because of a recent astronomical highlight, I'll use a shot of the solar corona I took during the total eclipse of 11 Aug. 1999. I was lucky to get it, because clouds obscured things shortly before totality (and partly during the total phase too):
Image

Neighbouring towns were even worse off because it rained! Getting a picture through this partially opaque medium was a rare piece of luck.

So, bye bye Image (gypsy medium), hello corona.Image

Hey Ian....."I'm Rick James B*tch!" Funniest Chappelle's show skit yet. Although the R. Kelly takeoff video gives it a run for it's money. I have to smirk every time I see the pic and quote in your sig =D> .

I like her too, but felt a bit uncomfortable with her as an avatar (maybe I'm old fashioned :-?). I found her via google image search (original is here, so maybe you saw her there too).

Actually, I didn't know that this brand exists. :o  The alternate Corona that came to mind was this one:

(Is this Bill Clinton's brand?)

This thread is still going within the last week?!? :o LOL  I was away for so long that I thought I would be reading about 64x, CLV quad-layer DVD writers when I returned. Instead, I find that this thread still lives... :D

Well, I hope everyone is behaving now. Otherwise I'll be forced to send the Avatar Police around to give you a good talking to...

Of course it's alive, how can we not change our avatars.

I don't know if we're behaving, at least we didn't receive PMs on that subject anymore [-X

Sorry Slim, but I can't send them around to you because you are behaving. BudhaTB, on the other hand... now we can almost always be sure he needs a good talking to...

While I'm on the subject of behaving, I think it is about time I got rid of that horrible Ashcroft avatar I made a point with. This is much more to my liking:
