Audio CD with data session (SVCD)

Postby ruler on Wed Jul 21, 2004 3:41 am

Hey guys..

I'm producing a band whose cd is also gonna feature a data session, containing a menu and 4 different videos.

So I'm gonna have an audio/data cd.. The main worry is, obviously, to make the album as compatible as possible with audio cd readers. But apart from that, I wanna make the data part as decent as I can. Is it possible to make a hybrid audio/svcd?

That would be cool, cause it'd allow people to see the videos on standalone dvd players, and not only on their computers. But this leaves me with a doubt: will the standalone dvd players recognize the disc as an audio cd or as a svcd? Is it possible for me to make the dvds recognize it as SVCDs, and include an option there to make the audio portion of the disc accessible?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

It's possible but it's complex and may not work on all players. Here's a guide: www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/113432.php
Another option is authoring a DVD with music and video's,I recommend Ulead VideoStudio.
