I haven't seen a lot of info on this drive yet so I figured I'd post a few screenshots...

The big (only?) difference betwen the DD1203 DD1205 is support for DVD+R DL.

I'm out of Taiyo media, but Ricoh 8x (RICOHJPN R02) also works at 12x.

I'll post some results with DVD+R DL media later on.

Hello!

I´ll wait for the full review :)

Hope that OptoRite have better writing-quality than in the past. In the c´t-magazine and other reviews the writing-quality was real bad, only Liteon and BTC had similar bad quality
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

From the Nero cd/dvd speed graph posted, it looks like you hit several speed bumps along the way. That probably slowed down the total write time.
