New Firmware TS0C for LiteOn SOHW 1213S

LiteOn has new firmware TS0C for the SOHW 1213S. As usual "match more media". I sure hope it brings some improvements to this drive- it has not been that hot up to now with TS08 or TS09.

Not that hot? That's an understatement. Writing at 12x has yielded some pretty craptacular results.

To the point I haven't used 1213S for practical backup once.

I've just downloaded new firmwere for Lite-On 1213S and LG 4120B. I'll compare them with Samsung's TS-H542 and TS-H552 soon. I wish I had Pioneer DVR-A08, NEC ND-3500A, BenQ DW1620, and Plextor PX-712(S)A but they are either unavailable or out of reach. I could get TS-H542 and TS-H552 at once for less[ than one PX-712SA.
