whats bitsetting?

what does it do? does the Pioneer DVR-108 have it? im planning get one and wonder if its a good choice cuz its a pretty cheap 16x drive for 100 bucks.

Isn't it better to merge the threads that ask nearly the same things? I think it'd be more helpful both to those who answer and who ask. That way, it's also easier to keep more important threads on the first list page.

The DVR-108 sets the booktype of DVD+R DL discs to DVD-ROM by default, but you cannot change the booktype of single layer DVD+R discs with the drive at all.

Threads that contain virtually identical questions like "what is bitsetting" and "what is the difference between DVD+R and DVD-R."

But I don't know phpBB has such a feature. I've tried the latest phpBB but couldn't find any except in some mods at phpBB.com.
