DVD shrink 3.2 Quality settings?

Postby Chip on Wed Aug 25, 2004 4:17 pm

I just installed 3.2 last night and when I back one of my movies up to my hard drive the Quality settings are grayed out and I can't check them.
Anyone know why this is?

If you don't compress they will be grayed out.

I do compress the dvd but then when I select backup, and quality settings I can't select anything.
Is this because I am backing it up to the harddrive?
Shouldn't be ...

and your sure your project is big enough to use compression?

like as in you have some red space in the projected size?

So I guess I thought one could apply it to any backup. But if I understand you correctly the items can only be checked if you are over compression(in the red area)...which leads to these items can't be checked on any backup that is in the Green area. Is this correct?

ok i think i figured out what your trying to say

those options will be grayed out if your compression settings are set to 100% meaning that you want full quality and don't want to compress at all

so if you drag the custom ratio sliding bar all the way right, meaning 100% quality - no compression you won't be able to use the quality settings in the backup dialogue box
